Read and Solve
Print the classroom set of double puzzles (handouts below) and assign a different double puzzle to each student. They each read the servant leader profile from the Our State of Generosity website and complete the double puzzle.
Students solve the two-part puzzle for the philanthropist's core message on servant leadership. The scrambled hints indicate the number of words in the phrases. Leave blank boxes for the spaces between words.
After completing the puzzle, students discuss what they learned and how it impacts their life or thinking about philanthropy and service.
Note: Middle school puzzles (attachment one) include the answer key at the bottom. High school puzzles (attachment two) include answer keys on the final pages of the PDF.
