Unit Overview 

This unit of four lessons uses stories and videos to illustrate the life of refugees. We compare refugees in World War II to refugees today, and design a way to support a local refugee individual/organization.

Service Experience 
Participants will research areas of need and design and implement a service project that will benefit refugees and/or a refugee support organization in their local area.

This lesson focuses on the language of human rights. Learners examine the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and analyze the rights from a personal perspective. They discuss how well they perceive that the rights are enforced.
