By Geography

Africa | Asia | Australia | Europe | North America | South America

Folktales are full of rich, cultural detail. They tell us about customs of hospitality and community traditions of leadership and decision-making. They offer us wonderful words and phrases to savor and enjoy. Stories may come from a particular country and culture, but they "love to travel," and happily adapt to new settings. Stories are the common language of the world.
