National Lemonade Days (June 7, 8, 9)
This three-day event takes place annually and raises more than $1 million for childhood cancer research. Be a part of this annual tradition, and hold a Lemonade Stand in your community! See below for details.
World Refugee Day (June 20)
This event honors the courage, strength and determination of women, men and children who are foced to flee their homeland under threat of persecution, conflict and violence. Join others to raise awareness and funds in your own community. http://learningtogive.org/teachers/refugees/
Lemonade Stand Days
GenerationOn, it's time to get your lemonade on! Join a nationwide network of lemonade stands and help fight childhood cancer with "Alex's Lemonade Stand." Be a part of this annual tradition, and hold an Alex's Lemonade Stand in your community! Visit the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation webpage for additional information about this nationwide event.
Anyone can participate, simply pick which of the days you plan to hold your stand and register through the Register Now button. It's free! You will get your very own fundraising page and receive a box of materials to help with your stand.
generationOn Lessons & Resources
Kids Care Clubs develop compassion and the spirit of service in elementary and middle school children. Registration is free. The featured calendar project for June is National Safety Month - Be Safe. Your Kids Care Club can learn and teach others tips on safety and emergency preparedness. Make First Aid Kits for families in shelters, Emergency Preparedness Kits, or teach others about safety by making posters and flyers with safety tips on bicycling, getting to school safely, playground safety, preventing poisoning or age appropriate toys.
